Our Terms & Conditions

  1. Please be aware that this a Airport Travel service for a Taxi / Chauffeur For airports & London Trips & Long journeys. (sorry but we do not do 5 minute trips into town) Payment for which can be made through our secure service “PayPal” or over the phone or in the car on the day & cash is good on the day as well. 01702 911258.

  2. A Booking fee will apply for credit card payments at 5%

  3. In the event that we can not fulfill your booking requirements all monies we be refunded.

  4. May we take this opportunity of thanking you for your custom. I will be calling you shortly to verify you’re booking and to give you contact details of the driver for your journey. Southend Airport Travel LTD is a website and is a unique private hire and chauffeur travel service to members of the general public normally resident in the London & Essex area, Clients booking with Southend Airport Travel can travel secure in the knowledge that vehicles driven by its co- operative members are fully insured.

  5. For those customers paying by cash or credit card, you may request a receipt from your driver. If for any reason you did not receive a receipt for your journey, please feel free to email this office at [email protected] quoting your mobile number and a new one will be sent to you.

  6. Whilst Southend Airport Travel makes every effort to get you to your destination on time, they cannot be held responsible for any foreseen and unforeseen events that may cause delay like bad weather (snow, ice, storms, floods, fog etc) or extreme traffic conditions or accidents.

  7. Our vehicles are fully serviced and MOT’d in line with government regulations. We can not be held responsible for unforeseen breakdowns or mechanical failures.

  8. It is the responsibility of the hirer to check travel schedules, for example flight times and departure times in advance of travel. Any recommendations as to time of departure or vehicle type are merely suggestions. The final decision rests with the person making the booking.

  9. It is the law in the UK for customers to wear seat belts.

  10. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the general conduct and behaviour of the people travelling. Southend Airport Travel will refuse to carry any customers who’s general conduct is abusive or threatening towards the driver or car.

  11. Our vehicles are non-smoking in line with UK law.

  12. Southend Airport Travel will invoice or charge a £250 fee, if fouling of vehicle has taken place.

  13. Passenger’s property is carried entirely at the owner’s risk, and the company shall not be responsible for loss or damage.

  14. If property is found inside the vehicle after a journey we will endeavour to contact the owner / client and return the items. The customer will be responsible for the return postage or courier charges. All lost property will be kept for 3 months only.

  15. The consumption of food or alcohol is not permitted in the car unless first agreed by Southend Airport Travel.

  16. We operate a 24 hours Email service and our Phone times are from 6am to 10pm.

  17. Waiting time beyond that agreed ( 1 Hour ) ( or if you have made contact with driver ) will be charged at £30 per hour + parking fee’s. (No Refunds Beyond 1 hour waiting with no contact)

  18. We do provide children seats or booster cushions. If travelling with children to ensure correct seats are provided. We are happy to store these for your return pick up.

  19. Cancellations: If you cancel your trip less than 24 hours before your trip Full Payment will be charged ( No Excuses).

  20. If you are a disabled passenger it is important that you give us as much information as possible about your needs or requirements.

  21. Are you travelling with an escort?

  22. Do you have a wheel chair folding or electric?

  23. Are you able to sit in a car or do you need a higher vehicle?

  24. If we are unable to meet your needs we will endeavour to help you find the right vehicle in the Essex, area.

  25. We do not carry animals in the cars except guide dogs accompanying registered blind or deaf persons.

  26. We do accept account holders subject to our acceptance. All bookings to be made by email or writing. Invoices are payable within 7 days of invoice date. Late payments will incur a penalty fee of £65.  If payment is not received we reserve the right to start legal proceedings to retrieve monies and legal fees.

  27. We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

  28. By booking with Southend Airport Travel LTD it is accepted that you accept these terms and conditions.

  29. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
